Description

This library has been modified to work with the Fritz!Box remote capi daemon
(CAPI-Over-TCP) and the local device capi in userspace.
It uses code, which was taken from libcapi20 and capi-adk.
libcapi20_fb can be compiled under Windows and Linux.

Attention:
For Linux, a kernel module called 'fbrcapi' exist.
It can be used with the normal isdn4linux capi which is shipped by most
distributions. Check it out right here.

Getting started (Linux)

Just run:

./configure
make
make install

This installs libcapi20_fb under /usr/lib and /usr/include.
After that, link your applications with -lcapi20.

Getting started (Windows)

Open "libcapi20_fb.sln" with Visual C++ 2005 and compile the project.

This creates a static library that can be used in other applications (.lib).
The header files "src_win/capi20.h" and "src_win/cwin32.h" must be included!

Configuration (Linux/Windows)

There are some environment variables, that can be changed before running an application:

export FB_REMOTE_CAPI_DEV=1                     # Use local capi (1=on, 0=off)

Under Windows, use 'SET' instead of 'export'

Attention:

Under Linux you can use remote capi and local capi at the same time.
The remote controllers are listed right after the local controllers.
Using local and remote capi at the same time is a little bit experimental.
So if you just want to use either remote capi or local capi,
you have to set FB_REMOTE_CAPI_DEV to 0 or FB_REMOTE_CAPI_TCP to 0.
You can ignore this, when no additional ISDN adapters are installed.

Under Windows you CAN NOT use remote capi and local capi at the same time.
If a capi2032.dll is found in the working directory, the dll is taken (local capi).
When no capi2032.dll is found, remote capi is used. You can also set
FB_REMOTE_CAPI_DEV or FB_REMOTE_CAPI_TCP to force this behaviour.


Also, the remote CAPI should be enabled before starting a CAPI-Application.

To disable remote CAPI: #96*2*
To enable remote CAPI:  #96*3*

Troubleshooting

When something went wrong, try to increase FB_REMOTE_CAPI_DEBUG= environment variable and
take a look at the console output, when running an application.
